The Tempestuous Consort – Wilfully Pampered by the Beastly Highness

Chapter 394 - Black-Gold Coffin, Blood-Colored Runes

“Is that so?” Feng Tianlan’s pupils dilated. It should be her good fortune to have been able to meet Si Mobai.

“Of course! Besides, it’s not only His Highness who is fortunate. His subordinates are also incredibly fortunate to get to meet you as well.”

With Her Highness around, they didn’t have to tolerate His Highness’s cold as ten-thousand-year-old-ice aura. They also didn’t have to live like monks anymore and could finally come and go as they pleased as well as interact with ladies.

Feng Tianlan let out a wry smile. She was thinking that it might not be Si Mobai’s fortune, but rather, his misfortune to have met her. She feared that her blood feud might implicate Si Mobai instead.

“I think our brother got this one thing right.”

“I think so too. His Highness is cool, but Her Highness is cooler.”

“No wonder His Highness hasn’t gotten a girl yet. He has finally met someone formidable at last.”

“I think His Highness and Her Highness are the only ones who are able to calmly examine a corpse in the presence of so many Spiritual Crystals.”

“An ideal couple!”

“…”

The secret guards conversed with one another as they gathered the Spiritual Crystals that gave out a spiritual force.

Feng Tianlan rubbed the token she found on her sleeve. After a moment, the word “Shang” could be seen on the token.

The Holy Pill City was the Shang Family’s town. It seemed as though the Shang Family had discovered this crystal mine and sent someone to deliver the news, but the rest of the party died down here. Since that had happened, no one other than the head of the Shang Family knew about this crystal mine.

It was a huge crystal mine. After the secret guards filled the storage ring with Spiritual Crystals, it didn’t look like the number of Spiritual Crystals diminished even a single bit.

Feng Tianlan decided that it was best to figure out the crystal mine’s exact depth and to ensure its safety before doing anything else.

The sky was clear and tinted blue. However, behind faintly discernible white clouds, there was a huge floating island that stretched beyond the horizon.

A grand palace was erected in the middle of the island. Through the thin veil of white clouds, it looked like the towers reached the highest heavens, giving the building an extremely sacred aura.

A graceful and enchanting figure pushed open a huge door and entered one of the rooms with lithe steps.

In the center of that room was a black-gold coffin. Many complicated blood-colored runes floated around inside the coffin.

The graceful figure walked up to the coffin. Hidden by the shadows in the room, her face could not be seen clearly, only her pair of red lips were visible. But even from that feature alone, one could easily tell that she was an extremely beautiful woman.

She lowered her head and looked into the coffin. A man lay still inside of it with the appearance of an evil demon. His silver hair was spread out beneath him in the coffin like silk bedding and they were intertwined with the blood-colored runes. There were blood-colored runes on his face as well.

With one hand outstretched, she touched the translucent force field over the coffin gently. Through the force field, she touched the men’s exquisite face and her eyes brimmed full of emotion. Hanging from her clean, white wrist was an extremely beautiful peony.

“My King, I have found her.” Her voice was coquettish and gentle. It was seductive.

Her hand caressed the man’s face with love, and she lay her pretty head on the force field, imagining that she was putting her face on top of his.

“My King, I have brought her back. When are you going to wake up?”

“My King, she is back. He has returned as well. It is time for you to wake up.”

“…”

She leaned against the force field and talked to the handsome sleeping man for half an hour. Then she leaned her whole body into the force field and gently kissed the handsome man on the lips. Finally, she stood up and left.

A man in black was waiting for her outside the room. He quickly ran up to her as she came out of that room.

“Your Majesty, news just came in. They are on the Guiyuan Continent, but we haven’t found out exactly who that person is.”

She raised her head and looked at the dazzling sunlight as she gave out a gentle sound of affirmation. “Keep looking.”

“Your Majesty… what should we do if we find that person?”

She raised her hand to block the sunlight from her eyes, the peony on her wrist clearly visible. Then she said in an eerie voice, “What I have instructed you to do a long time ago.”
