Chapter 1322 - Freedom
Not bad! Wu Chen exploded! Su Mo had completed his goal of finding out Qing Xuan’s whereabouts. As such, neither his physical body nor his avatar were required to stay in the Sorcerer Tribe. Furthermore, it would be impossible to hide the deaths of Wu Ma, Wu You Lan, as well as the group of Sorcerer Geniuses. Wu Chen’s identity had already raised the Grand Priest’s suspicions. If he returned to the Sorcerer Tribe after this battle, he would definitely be faced with destruction.
As such, Su Mo might as well expose his identity. With the Young Priest token on his body, there was nowhere for the avatar to escape. Anyway, it was just an avatar and not a big loss for Su Mo.
Boom!
The self-destruction of Wu Chen was terrifying. The Divine Pill that contained the powerful Ghost Force exploded. It was as powerful as a nuclear bomb, with huge black mushroom clouds rising, destroying everything within a thousand miles.
“Ahhh!!” In an instant, five geniuses of the Sorcerer Tribe were devoured by the mushroom cloud, their corpses and bones blown up and destroyed. These people were only of Level 4 or 5 Martial Emperor Realm. With little to no preparation, how would it be possible for them to block themselves from Wu Chen’s self-destruction.
One breath! Two breaths! Three breaths!
After three breaths, the place where Wu Chen carried out his self-destruction caused the space to fluctuate unexpectedly. A big, tall elder suddenly appeared. The elder was none other than the Grand Priest.
The Grand Priest’s expression was gloomy as he quietly stood in mid-air. After a while, he stretched out his big hand and directly slammed it into the depths of the void, crossing the endless distance.
Swoosh!
After a while, the Grand Priest retracted his hand and held up a Young Priest badge. It was the badge that belonged to Wu Chen, the Grand Priest had plucked it from the depths of the void.
“Who is it?” the Grand Priest’s face darkened as if it were about to cast a storm. He did not expect that Wu Chen was a spy! He had long since figured out that there was something wrong with Wu Chen, however he did not pay much attention to it. Now that such a thing had happened, it resulted in the tragic death of a large number of Tribe Geniuses!
This was the gift I bestowed upon you! The Grand Priest thought angrily. Was this provocation? Who exactly was this man?
There were doubts in the heart of the Grand Priest. Who was the one who dared to come to the Sorcerer Tribe and behave so atrociously? This was simply unforgivable. He had to make the culprit pay for his crimes!
However, after all these years, the Grand Priest had indeed offended many people. He would have to carefully figure out who this enemy was.
After a while, the Grand Priest’s body flashed and disappeared into thin air. For the next few days, the entire Heavenly Underworld Star was sealed off from the outside world. Everyone was strictly forbidden to go out and was involved in an intensive investigation. After this period of investigation, it was discovered that the person behind Wu Chen was Su Mo!
All this while, Su Mo had been probing about Hong Qing Xuan’s affairs. This was especially clear during his interaction with Wu Chang Yuan, where he tried many times to pump information about the whereabouts of Qing Xuan. When the Grand Priest learned about this, he was utterly furious.
A worm-like native had actually dared to sneak into the Sorcerer Tribe and murdered multiple geniuses of the Tribe. This was simply extremely audacious! For this, the Grand Priest sent hundreds of Martial Honoured Realm Elders to track Su Mo’s movements. He swore to find out where Su Mo had escaped.
…
After a few months of floundering around more than two hundred stars, Su Mo, Nie Qian, and Han Ying had finally returned to Star GuZhou. The route that they took was completely different from when they first went to Heavenly Underworld Star. They had deliberately circled around the many stars.
Su Mo was cautious, he was afraid of the Sorcerer Tribesmen tracking down his escape route. There was a possibility of them being discovered, however it would take a few years for the Sorcerer Tribe to ever find them.
“We are finally back!” Nie Qian gasped, his face flushed as he walked out of the array that was transmitted by Star GuZhou. This experience was basically a breeze, and they had earned a huge amount of wealthy resources.
“We will not have to worry about resources for a long time!” Han Ying exclaimed, her face all smiles.
“You two, go back to the Shenwu Academy first! I still have something to settle!” Su Mo’s face squirmed as he restored his original appearance and commanded both of them.
“Brother Su, are you not going back with us?” The two were a little surprised.
“No, I will go back in a few days time!” said Su Mo. He bade farewell to the two as he rushed to the sky and flew towards Tushan Town.
This trip to and from Heavenly Underworld Star had taken nearly two years of his time. He had to look at Tushan Town. Galloping into the void, Su Mo was thinking, after returning to the Shenwu Academy, he had to meticulously study the Sun Tribe. Qing Xuan was being held by the Sun Tribe. After today, he had to find her.
Su Mo did not completely understand the Sun Tribe. He only knew that it was an extremely powerful tribe that was ranked 86th on the list of the Ten Thousand Archean Tribes Board.
Qing Xuan was taken away by a woman from the Sun Tribe. He presumed that there should not be much danger, after all, this woman could not use Qing Xuan as her Cultivation Stove.
“Su Mo, can you fulfill what you promised me?” at that moment, the voice of the Flaming Devil Ghost Sage rang in Su Mo’s mind. Upon hearing this, Su Mo was stumped. He understood it in an instant; the other party wanted freedom!
Su Mo had indeed made a promise, so naturally he would not go back on his word.
Swoosh!
Su Mo’s body descended and landed in a forest below.
“Senior, you have helped me a lot during this whole ordeal. Of course, I will not go back on my word!” Su Mo said softly, standing in the middle of the forest. After speaking, his thoughts shifted and, mobilizing the Devouring Fighting Soul, he spat out the Ghost Spirit of the Flaming Devil Ghost Sage.
The Ghost Spirit of the Flaming Devil Ghost Sage was tall and sturdy, yet at the same time incomparably illusory. It was a black shadow, its face could not even be seen clearly. This was because, while at Heavenly Underworld City, Su Mo had sealed the Young Priest badge in a storage ring which consumed a lot of the Ghost Sage’s spiritual power.
“Su Mo, I am grateful!” the Flaming Devil Ghost Sage had regained his freedom, and cupped his fist in his palm towards Su Mo. At the same time, for some unknown reason, the great Sage did not attain joy from his freedom. After seeing Su Mo’s talent that seemingly defied the natural order, he knew leaving Su Mo would be a great personal loss.
However, he knew that freedom was more important than the loss of power.
“Senior, I should be thanking you. Thank you for your help and guidance!” Su Mo said as he shook his head. All this while, the old Sage had indeed helped him a lot. The Flaming Devil Ghost Sage sighed and said in a soft, deep voice, “For now, I still have something that requires your help!”
“What is it?”
“Your body has many physical bodies of the Sorcerer Tribesman. Please give me a good one!” said the Flaming Devil Ghost Sage.
“This is easy!” Su Mo smiled. He then waved his hands and dozens of physical bodies of the Sorcerer Tribes appeared in front of him.
He had acquired many physical bodies from the Sorcerer Tribesmen. The Sage had only asked for one physical body, but if he had asked for one hundred, Su Mo would have obliged him.
“Senior, choose one and it is yours!” Su Mo said.
Flaming Devil Ghost Sage glanced at the dozens of physical bodies before his eyes. After a while, the Ghost Spirit made his decision and, in a flash, there were no physical bodies in sight. They had all disappeared into thin air, all except for one.
Su Mo was immediately slightly stunned. The physical body that Flaming Devil Ghost Sage chose was none other than Wu Tian Yu.
