Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Chapter 1040 - No One but Your Brother-in-law Will be Keeping You Company in the

Xu Zhengxuan glared at Luosang as he said, “How is that possible? It must be your brother’s problem. Your mother is very nice. She isn’t short-tempered at all.”

Luosang looked at the sky speechlessly. Her father had always fawned on her mother without any principles.

“Su, be with Mr. Mo!” Jiaojiao said to Yan Su excitedly on their ride back. Her eyes were glowing.

Yan Su gave a start.

“Seriously. He is so handsome! I’m a fan of him after tonight,” said Jiaojiao. “If you miss out on a man who is willing to protect you, even shield you from a wine bottle, you’ll regret for the rest of your life.”

Recalling what happened, Yan Su’s heart skipped a beat.

She didn’t notice when it started to happen, but Mo Liuxi’s face was already so clear in her mind.

She only needed one second to picture his face and his expression in her head.

Jiaojiao clenched her fists. She said, “I observed Shi Xiang when you got bullied. He stood up, but soon sat back down. He didn’t plan to stand up for you at all. I can’t believe it. He should have at least tried. I liked him before because he was handsome. I was stupid…”

After saying that, she found that Yan Su was wearing a sad face.

“I’m sorry…” she hurriedly apologized.

“Don’t be.” Yan Su shook her head.

“Su, stay away from him,” said Jiaojiao. “He said that he likes you, but if you affect his interests, he’ll certainly give up on you. As a woman, I believe you should choose a man who can protect you. You don’t always need his protection, but what can a man possibly do for you if he can’t even protect you while you are in danger?”

“Yeah, I know.” Yan Su nodded.

Perhaps, she should find some time to go home to visit her parents and apologize to them.

When she was younger, she’d thought her parents were unreasonable. She thought that they despised the poor and curried favor with the rich. But now, she realized that it was because they were more mature and more experienced than her. They’d been able to see that the relationship between her and Shi Xiang would lead to no good result.

Eleven at night.

Mo Liuxi was still in the hospital for the IV drip. With a frown, he raised his head to look at the bottle from time to time.

“Are you in a rush?” asked Nian Junting lazily. “You have no wife waiting for you at home. It’ll be okay no matter how long this takes you. Isn’t that right?”

Mo Liuxi glanced at him blandly and said, “You seem to be in a rush to go home.”

“I am.” Nian Junting nodded. “You may not understand how a married man like me feels.”

Mo Liuxi was speechless.

He had a wife, and he always bragged about that.

“Thank you, really, for staying here with me so late at night.” Mo Liuxi turned the corners of his lips down.

“I have to. You are Sangsang’s brother. I’m doing what I should do.” After saying that, Nian Junting took out his phone and started looking at a picture of his wife. He missed her so much.

“Please peel an orange for me. I’m thirsty,” said Mo Liuxi.

Nian Junting opened a bottle of spring water, handed it to him, and said, “Your other hand is not disabled. Drink it yourself.”

Mo Liuxi repeated, “I said that I want an orange.”

“No. I only peel oranges for your sister.” Nian Junting shook his head. “You can have water, or die with thirst.”

“Also,” he continued. “Next time you pick a fight with someone, try not to get hurt. If you get hurt again, only I, your brother-in-law would keep you company in the hospital. No one else would.”

Luo Liuxi stayed silent. He took a sip of the water and closed his eyes. Fortunately, he didn’t need to stay in the hospital for the night, or he might die of anger.
