Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 1020 - Fu Huai’an Was Indeed Very Attentive Towards Lin Nuan

Cen Mo calmed down. Now that he no longer felt compelled to become chummy with Lin Nuan as her older brother right away, it actually felt pretty comfortable for him to interact with her.

Cen Mo asked Lin Nuan about what happened at the filming today, and he also told Lin Nuan about his intention to let her rest for a few days in Morocco before going back to China. Lin Nuan agreed…

Before she slept, Lin Nuan thought of Lin Ran.

Lin Ran was considered a child of Lin Nuan’s biological parents. Lin Nuan felt that she ought to inform Lin Ran that she had found Cen Mo.

It was midnight in China now. Lin Nuan sent Lin Ran a message on WeChat and told her… that she had found the child her parents lost in the US.

After Lin Nuan sent the message, she placed her phone on the bedside table and lifted the sheets, preparing to wait for Fu Huai’an in bed. It was then that her phone vibrated once.

Lin Nuan picked up her phone. It was Lin Ran’s reply.

‘Lin Ran: Where did you find him? Aren’t you shooting a movie in Morocco? Don’t tell me it’s so coincidental that you found him at your filming set?’

Lin Ran wasn’t asleep at this hour?

‘Lin Nuan: Big Brother knows him, it’s his friend Cen Mo.’

‘Lin Ran: ??!’

‘Lin Nuan: Hard to explain in a few words. I’ll tell you and Mom all about it when I get back.’

On the other end of the line, Lin Ran had originally composed a message asking Lin Nuan if she was bent on not letting her sleep. She was about to hit the send button when she rethought it and deleted what she wrote, simply replying with an “Okay”.

The next day, Song Yao pulled Lin Nuan to the greenhouse upstairs, saying she needed to talk about some little secrets of pregnancy to Lin Nuan away from Fu Huai’an and Cen Mo.

Lin Nuan, who was made to sit on a deck chair, looked up at Song Yao, not sure whether to laugh or cry. She asked, “What’s the matter?”

“Previously, I told you about the matters between Cen Mo and me, but I didn’t tell you everything. Such as… how Cen Mo became psychologically ill.” Song Yao sat down across from Lin Nuan, prepared to come clean to Lin Nuan about Cen Mo’s past encounters.

There was a cause behind every psychological illness. For Lin Nuan, it was because she had experienced Iraq and subsequently saw her cousin Lin Xia dead in the bathtub. Because of those things, she was traumatized.

Then, Cen Mo must have had a special past too.

“You are Cen Mo’s younger sister. I know how much Cen Mo yearns for kinship! Don’t be deceived by his cold appearance. Before you came back yesterday, he was feeling nervous about how he should speak with you!” Song Yao laughed softly. “Your older brother… loves you very much, Lin Nuan. That’s why I hope you can understand your brother’s past and not be calculative with him about what happened in the past, that you can be more forgiving towards him…”

Lin Nuan nodded but didn’t interrupt, simply waiting for Song Yao to continue.

Song Yao told Lin Nuan about how Cen Mo was brought back to the Lu family and how, after the Lu family lost their wealth, Cen Mo was sent overseas. She spoke about how the guardian that Old Master Lu had arranged to take care of and protect him betrayed the Lus, causing Cen Mo to be sold on the black market, as well as how Cen Mo’s foster mother adopted him!

Cen Mo’s adoptive mother had known about Cen Mo’s identity very early on. Because of her past entanglements with Cen Mo’s father in the Lu family… she had used ruthless methods to torture Cen Mo. It was only when Cen Mo got engaged to his fiancée that he was rescued from the situation. Otherwise, Cen Mo would have been sent to his adoptive father’s bed.

Lin Nuan felt trepidation as she listened to Song Yao’s recount of the events…

She couldn’t imagine how Cen Mo managed to survive after he was subjected to such inhuman treatment, and furthermore, how his character didn’t become twisted or perverse. Lin Nuan was in awe of Cen Mo for that.

From Song Yao’s description, Lin Nuan also knew… that Cen Mo making Song Yao his third party was merely a misunderstanding, that it was something he had no choice about either.

Song Yao pulled Lin Nuan’s hand and said to her earnestly, “Your older brother… really needs you, his sister. I won’t be able to take your place for that role! He has a great yearning for kinship, even though he’ll never admit it!”

Lin Nuan nodded, her heart aching for Cen Mo.

Compared to Cen Mo, what she had experienced wasn’t considered hardship at all.

“Nuan Nuan, although Cen Mo has a vicious tongue, that’s his protective mechanism. Your brother is actually no different from a child…”

“I know!” Lin Nuan held Song Yao’s hand tightly. “I won’t bear any grudges towards him, don’t worry, Sis-in-law!”

The way Lin Nuan called her “Sis-in-law” was full of meaning, making Song Yao blush. “Stop it!”

Song Yao knew that the fact that Lin Nuan was willing to address her as her sis-in-law was as good as her acknowledging Cen Mo as her older brother.

They stayed in Morocco for another three days. Fu Huai’an accompanied Lin Nuan to a Moroccan hospital for a check-up and verified the pregnancy. It was just that it was too early in the pregnancy, so the embryo couldn’t be detected in the uterus yet. The doctor told Lin Nuan to calculate the days and go to the hospital to check on the embryo again after her period was delayed by 40 days.

After resting in Morocco for two days, Lin Nuan and the group returned to China.

Cen Mo had planned on letting Lin Nuan rest another two days before going to their parents’ tombstones, but Lin Nuan felt that she was in pretty good condition, so on the day they returned, she took Cen Mo to the cemetery.

The vomiting symptoms had already started for the pregnant Song Yao, and on the flight back, her petite face was pale. Therefore, Lin Nuan and Cen Mo asked Song Yao to stay home and rest.

Fu Huai’an didn’t follow either. With Cen Mo taking care of Lin Nuan, Fu Huai’an was very assured.

After getting off the plane, Cen Mo settled Song Yao down, then went to the Fu residence to pick up Lin Nuan…

That afternoon, when they went to the cemetery, the weather in Haicheng was exceptionally splendid.

Cen Mo personally drove to the Fu residence to pick up Lin Nuan, asking Saihand to stay at home and take care of Song Yao.

Ever since he found out that Lin Nuan was his sister, Cen Mo had conducted a detailed check into Lin Nuan when she was young, which led him to know about Lin Nuan saying that she liked the Chatsworth House in “Pride and Prejudice” when she was young.

Cen Mo stood beside the car. Looking at the Fu residence that resembled the Chatsworth House, his lips curled up involuntarily. Fu Huai’an was indeed very attentive towards Lin Nuan.

Lin Nuan came out of the house with her long hair tied up into a ponytail and wearing a black long down jacket and a pair of snow boots, looking very snug.

Tuan Tuan bounced behind Lin Nuan like a little tail. He wanted to come along with Mama too, but Papa said that Mama was going with Uncle to visit their parents and that Uncle would protect Mama. He asked Tuan Tuan not to disturb the two of them and let them have some time alone, for they would surely have lots to say to each other.

But Tuan Tuan simply wanted to follow his mama. The little fellow clutched his mama’s index finger tightly, his eyes reddened, trying hard not to cry. He rubbed his eyes with the backs of his hands.

“Little Candy and Little Happy will be arriving at our place soon. If you come with Mama, none of the masters of the house will be around. Who’s going to take care of our little guests then?” Lin Nuan squatted down and patiently placated Tuan Tuan. She reached out to stroke Tuan Tuan’s little head and said, “Our Tuan Tuan isn’t a two- or three-year-old little kid, our Tuan Tuan is a little man, so he’ll surely take especially good care of the guests, right?”

The little fellow gazed at Lin Nuan with his bright black eyes and nodded vigorously. “Mm!”
