Chapter 766 - Who Is The Celestial Venerable?
Young Master Blood Moon was able to achieve the state of Celestial Venerable only by chance. However, now his state gave him the confidence to look down on geniuses like Fengyu Duo. He was quite satisfied with himself and the situation.
However, he took it for granted that Jiang Chen’s confidence was nothing else but ignorance. In his opinion, Jiang Chen thought he was capable of fighting with him since he had achieved the late stage of Spiritual Venerable, based on the fact that he had managed to exchange blows with Young Master Blood Moon by resorting to a tactical formation.
He gave a cold laugh when he saw Jiang Chen jumping in the air. A sword appeared in his hand.
“Young Master Blood Moon, do it quickly. That’s not what I wanted you here for,” the man beside him reminded him.
“Young Master Nangong, don’t worry. I’ll try my best. Besides, this is an obstruction we have to remove, isn’t it?” Young Master Blood Moon asked with a slight smile. He was obviously very confident. Jiang Chen did not seem to threaten him at all.
The man nodded. He threw the Thousand Mile another glance and went over there slowly.
“Sis, why are you so persistent? Admit your defeat. You are not strong enough to compete with me,” he said.
The man cursed to himself. He had to join the fight. Since Young Master Blood Moon was still able to fight, they should seize the chance to fight together to subdue Jiang Chen. This was the only way.
Otherwise, if he fought alone with Jiang Chen, as a Celestial Venerable in the preliminary stage, he would end up the same as Young Master Blood Moon. Although he thought he was much stronger than Young Master Blood Moon, this gap was still negligible when confronting Jiang Chen.
“Two Celestial Venerables deal with one Spiritual Venerable together. This has never happened in the Three Middle Realms. Shame on you!” Zhou Jianfeng cursed.
However, his words did not cause the two Celestial Venerables to stop joining the fight against Jiang Chen together.
Jiang Chen was about to attack Young Master Blood Moon, but then he had to defend himself from the man dashing toward him.
“A Sword without Permanence: Soul Stealing!”
The man’s swordsmanship was much better than Young Master Blood Moon’s. Adding his weight to Young Master Blood Moon’s, it put much more pressure on Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen stood still, pondering.
When the sword came up to him, he emitted a shining lightning. And then he disappeared, just when the tip of the blade had almost pierced his heart.
“What happened?!”
The man felt like he had seen a ghost. He would never have believed a Spiritual Venerable could have achieved such a high speed.
“He is behind you!” He heard Young Master Blood Moon’s warning.
The man gnashed his teeth. He turned around to brandish his sword immediately.
However, there was nothing behind him. He was struck dumb. Then he cursed in anger, “Didn’t you say he was behind me?”
Nobody answered him. Young Master Blood Moon looked scared and shocked. He stared at the man, or what was behind him, to be precise.
“I am behind you.”
The man heard Jiang Chen’s voice. Then he felt like a volcano had erupted behind him.
The man immediately switched on his Protective Dipper Energy and he was bearing a dreadful power.
The man finally ended up the same as Young Master Blood Moon. He was sent flying. His Protective Dipper Energy gave an explosive sound, as if it could not bear the burden anymore.
Young Master Blood Moon came up to help him get to his feet. The two Celestial Venerables leaned against each other, as though they were being confronted by a formidable enemy.
“Who is the Celestial Venerable? Or, is it fair to say this Spiritual Venerable is even stronger than these Celestial Venerables?”
The people on the Thousand Mile felt like they were dreaming. What they had seen had shaken their world.
