This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome

Chapter 59

From start to finish, he had been thoroughly crushed!

It was a feeling of abject despair!

Ever since the day Luo Yongnian became a martial arts legend, he had not been in such a desperate situation.

Whether it was speed, power, or technique, he was being suppressed in all aspects.

With just a casual touch from Lu Xuan onto his long sword, he could feel his hands going numb.

Swish!

Luo Yongnian slashed out with his sword, the air visibly being ripped in two.

But all he heard was a soft clink, as Lu Xuan stopped the sword, pinching it between two fingers.

“You’re an interesting fellow. You didn’t take this chance to escape!” Lu Xuan remarked lightly, as he tossed the handgun into his backpack and strapped on the long sword, looking like a cosplayer.

In this day and age, if he went out looking like that, nobody would believe he was carrying around a real sword; they would think it was a prop sword.

The middle-aged man in the Chinese robe let out a bitter laugh. He did want to run, but the blow he received from Lu Xuan was too severe, and he had killed Luo Yongnian too quickly.

It happened so fast that it was impossible for him to escape!

He looked at Lu Xuan as though he was looking at a beast. He never imagined that anyone could grow to be this strong, easily able to take on three enemies single-handedly.

He could even believe that if it was not just the three of them, and they had the help of eight or ten more level six martial arts legends, they would still be no match for Lu Xuan.

His strength was not of this era, and it exceeded the limits of his comprehension.

“What’s the point of running. In such a short time, it’s impossible for me to put enough distance between us!” The middle-aged man in the Chinese robe continued, laughing bitterly. “I never expected that I, the unstoppable Zhang Hongyang, for all my fame and reputation overseas, would die in this small remote forest without anyone knowing about it!”

At that moment, he fully regretted accepting this assignment, and more so, he regretted stepping foot in the Chinese mainland. Sure enough, the rumors were true—the mainland was teeming with masters, and an uncountable number of experts had suffered tragic defeats, dying resentfully.

For many of the masters who lived abroad, entering the mainland was a taboo, but he had done it for the sake of money, and now he was about to suffer the consequences of his greed.

“Would you like to live?” Lu Xuan asked him playfully.

Hearing this from Lu Xuan, there was a flash of hope in the eyes of the middle-aged man in the Chinese robe, as he replied, “You’re willing to let me live? You should know that I could tell the Luo family everything that happened!”

Lu Xuan scoffed as he explained, “This feud between the Luo family and me will never draw to a close. I previously thought I might be able to elude them for a while, but I didn’t expect that Luo Ying woman to pick up my trail so soon. Since we’re in open hostility now, then we should just fight head to head!”

Zhang Hongyang had calmed himself, and he asked, “What do you want me to do!”

There was no such thing as a free lunch!
