He finally saw the uniform of the Amaterasu-gumi.

However, Lu Xuan’s gaze remained just as severe, as that proved his speculation after all—the Japanese were indeed after Lu Shanshan.

 Lu Xuan found out, after barging into the area, that there was a group of people attacking a valley. All of the attackers were wearing uniforms of the Amaterasu-gumi, and all of them were formidable fighters.

However, all of them were armed differently. Some carried katanas, and they were evidently masters of the sword, blasting long, huge sword auras with every single swing of their blades.

There were also powerful onmyoji in their midst, capable of summoning shikigamis. Then there were spellcasters as well, casting some unknown spells.

Yet, Lu Shanshan actually became capable of such feats while she was in combat. He was able to imagine just how frightening the inherent talent of that Huaxian woman was.

“I absolutely can’t let her leave this place alive.”

Lu Xuan, who was watching the fight from afar, was in no hurry to make a move.

Her physicality was such that she was able to eclipse many veteran Invincible Vajras by the fact that she was already an Invincible Vajra alone, regardless if she just made the breakthrough not long ago.

That fighter from the Amaterasu-gumi was finally infuriated after being unable to take her down even though he had fought her for quite a while. He finally realized just how difficult she was.

He then shouted, “All of you, get her! We absolutely can’t let this Huaxian woman leave this place alive!”

The many outer-circle members of the group acted as if they just received orders from a higher-up right after hearing that, pouncing onto her again without a second thought.

Lu Shanshan was no longer able to free herself sufficiently to handle that particular fighter after being tied down by so many others from the Amaterasu-gumi. Things became dire in an instant.

A piercing sound was heard from afar all of a sudden.

Flashes of the blade were seen zipping about, heading straight from the outer-circle members of the group.

All of them shrieked right before they ended up dead.

They all died by a blade on the spot, unable to do anything at all.

A figure was seen as the flashes blazed. Lu Shanshan looked up, feeling very surprised and pleased. It was her brother, just in the nick of time.

“Bro!” Lu Shanshan shouted happily.

“Don’t get too excited just yet. We’ll talk after he’s dead,” Lu Xuan replied.
