Chapter 6
Xu Mingzhen only knew to scold her, but why not scold Tan Mo?
Xu Mingzhen looked at Tan Mo. She also wanted to take the opportunity to talk to her daughter.
Unexpectedly, she heard Tan Mo say, “Uncle Zhiqian told me to call him that.”
“Young Master Wei said you could call him that?” Xu Mingzhen was surprised. No wonder when Tan Mo called him Little Uncle, Wei Zhiqian didn’t seem taken aback.
Xu Mingzhen thought that it was because Wei Zhiqian didn’t want to make a fuss since Tan Mo was basically a child.
Looking back, she realized that how could Wei Zhiqian be someone who wouldn’t care just because of Tan Mo’s young age?
“Yes.” Tan Mo nodded. “He insisted that I called him ‘Little Uncle.’ I had to even if I didn’t want to.”
Tan Mo thought, ‘I’m telling the truth.’
She originally wanted to call him Older Brother, but Wei Zhiqian refused. He insisted that she called him Little Uncle.
Xu Mingzhen looked gratified. “It’s because our Mo Mo is likable. If that’s the case, you can continue to call him that way. You don’t need to avoid it.”
Yuan Keqing exploded on the side.
Tan Mo could call him that and didn’t need to avoid it.
When Yuan Keqing called him that, Xu Mingzhen wasn’t happy.
Talk about having double standards!

The car pulled over at the entrance of the Tan family’s villa. Yuan Keqing was about to get out of the car with them but was stopped by Xu Mingzhen. “Keqing, you have been out for most of the day, and it’s already late. Your mom is probably worried now after not seeing you at home. You should now go home first. You can come back to play with Mo Mo next time.”
After she finished speaking, before Yuan Keqing could utter a word, Xu Mingzhen ordered the driver to take Yuan Keqing home.
When the car left, Xu Mingzhen took Tan Mo’s hand and went into the house.
Tan Mo was surrounded by her three older brothers as soon as she entered the house.
“Mo Mo, how was your play date? Were you bullied?” her second brother Tan Jinsheng asked.
“It’s okay, but it was also a bit unpleasant.” Tan Mo didn’t want to keep it a secret.
Although the three older brothers didn’t like Yuan Keqing very much, it wouldn’t hurt to inform them about Yuan Keqing’s character.
They might not like her now, but that didn’t mean that they wouldn’t be deceived by Yuan Keqing or others like her in the future.
Tan Mo should also make them realize that Wei Keli was unreliable, lest they have a good impression of Wei Keli and be quite satisfied with him.
Tan Mo still remembered that in her last life, her three older brothers doted on their sister, so their requirements for their future brother-in-law were particularly strict.
The other aspects didn’t matter that much, but he had to be nice to their sister.
As long as Yuan Keqing wasn’t around, Wei Keli had always been obedient to Tan Mo.
Her parents and three older brothers were all blinded by this impression, and they agreed to the marriage between Wei Keli and Tan Mo.
Tan Mo now wanted her parents and three older brothers to see Wei Keli’s true colors early on.
“What’s the matter? Wei Keli bullied you?” Her third brother Tan Jinyi asked anxiously.
“Yuan Keqing also set you up?” Tan Jianqi frowned.
Tan Mo was really impressed by her eldest brother. He really hit the nail on the head.
The word “also” was very perceptive.
It meant that in her eldest brother’s eyes, Wei Keli wasn’t good either.
Tan Mo didn’t conceal it nor did she exaggerate the details. She told them about what happened in the afternoon.
“Mom,” Tan Jinqi immediately said to Xu Mingzhen, “in the future, try to avoid letting Mo Mo play with Yuan Keqing. Mo Mo is naive, and Yuan Keqing might take advantage of her. This time, if it hadn’t been for the fact that Young Master Wei saw them by chance, Mo Mo would have been wronged by them.”
When he thought about how his little sister was wronged but was forced to just take it without being able to defend herself, Tan Jinqi imagined her pitiful appearance, and his heart ached.
“Don’t say that. Keqing is a little girl. How can she be as sly as you say she is?” Although Xu Mingzhen was dissatisfied with Yuan Keqing, she was able to make sound judgments.
However, she couldn’t let her children hate others like this when they were still so young.
“Keqing is still young. If she makes a mistake, she needs to be told and be guided accordingly. She might not have done so deliberately,” Xu Mingzhen explained. “However, every time you see her, your hostility is so obvious. You need to change your attitude. She is also your sister.”
“What little sister? She’s just a cousin. Mo Mo is our only sister!” Tan Jinsheng grasped Tan Mo’s hand and assured her, “You will always be our sister. No one can replace our dear Mo Mo.”
Their mother frowned. She didn’t agree with Tan Jinsheng’s words.
2
Before Xu Mingzhen could rebuke him, Tan Jinqi chimed in, “Mom, don’t treat us as children because you think we don’t understand anything. Every time Yuan Keqing sees us, she calls us older brother directly, instead of cousin. It’s nothing, like you said, because she’s our sister. But to Mo Mo, she doesn’t call her sister—she calls her cousin, contrary to Mo Mo calling her sister all the time. If you haven’t noticed it before, you might as well pay attention next time to see for yourself.”
5
“What does that mean? It means that Yuan Keqing has never liked Mo Mo from the bottom of her heart. Her relationship with Mo Mo isn’t as good as she acts like it is on the surface. Furthermore, she wants to take Tan Mo’s place.”
4
Otherwise, why was one called brother and the other called cousin?
They were obviously siblings, but Yuan Keqing treated them differently.
Xu Mingzhen didn’t expect that even the most sensible Tan Jinqi didn’t like Yuan Keqing that much.
Xu Mingzhen sighed and explained, “I don’t ask you all to treat her that nicely, but at least be cordial.”
“Don’t worry. That’s how we’ve been before.”
Xu Mingzhen didn’t know what to say.
Tan Jinqi meant that they had always treated Yuan Keqing decently on the surface, but they didn’t have any familial affection for her.
The Tan brothers didn’t want to talk about Yuan Keqing’s affairs anymore, so Tan Jinsheng asked, “Mo Mo, who gave you this doll?”
Could it be that Wei Keli gave it?
If so, why would she keep it?
She should throw it away!
“It was given by Little Uncle Wei Zhiqian. It was a first meeting gift for me.” Tan Mo liked holding the doll very much and carried it with her no matter where she went.
She didn’t let it go even at home.
Tan Jinyi felt very sad to see her like that.
They usually gave Tan Mo a lot of toys. Why did Tan Mo like this doll so much?
“Why don’t we go buy dolls for Mo Mo and fill her room with them?” Tan Jinyi told his two brothers.
“Don’t let her frequently hold something an acquaintance gave her.”
2
The other two brothers approved of Tan Jinyi’s suggestion.
The three brothers started thinking about the doll they were going to buy for Tan Mo.
Meanwhile, Yuan Keqing was sent back to the Yuan family’s house by the driver.
When she entered the house, her mother Xu Mingjing had already returned.
When Xu Mingjing saw Yuan Keqing, she immediately said, “I heard Auntie say that you went to play with Mo Mo?”
“Yes.” Yuan Keqing changed into slippers and walked into the hallway.
“I told you yesterday that your aunt was going to take Mo Mo to a friend’s house and also told you not to go there today, didn’t I?” Xu Mingjing was puzzled.
