Chapter 53 - I Have the Fragile Heart of a Goddess
As soon as she swiped the key card to the door of her room, there was a sudden flash in the corner of the corridor behind her.
Yan Jinyi quickly turned around and caught a glimpse of a figure.
‘Is it a stalker?’
It was common for artists of the entertainment industry to be stalked by hardcore fans, and even Zhuang Heng, an oddball with an eccentric temper, had fans who had the guts to stalk him.
However…
She knew that she probably didn’t have such crazy fans.
After some hesitation, Yan Jinyi decided to let that person off for now and pushed the door open to go in.
It was raining tonight, and the raindrops fell on the windows.
Yan Jinyi stood in front of the full-length window and admired the beautiful scenery and vast grassland outside the hotel which was far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
All of a sudden, she heard the sounds of someone knocking on the door hastily.
‘Who’s looking for me at such a late hour?’
She pulled the door open, only to see that it was dead quiet outside as there was not a single soul in the corridor.
Yan Jinyi frowned and reckoned that it must have been that person.
Just as she was about to get ready to enter, she abruptly saw the black gift box that was placed at the door.
There was a sticky note on it, on which her name was written strikingly in red.
‘Is this a gift from my die-hard fan?’
She smiled and opened the gift in high spirits, only to see a realistic-looking finger prop inside the box.
Under the finger, there was a card on which there were wriggly and crooked words.
“Shameless bitch, stay further away from my Zhuang Heng, you don’t deserve to star alongside him. You’d better leave the crew on your own or else, your finger will be in the box next time!”
Yan Jinyi’s expression turned grave and she couldn’t help but curse, “Damn!”
‘Which person who has a death wish sent this to me?’
‘Does he or she really think that I’d be so easily intimidated?!’
Throughout the 500 years that she spent queuing up in the Netherworld, she had seen all sorts of demons!
Looking a little glum and furious, Yan Jinyi took out her cell phone and snapped a photo of the box, which she then uploaded onto Weibo.
“BanditLeader: Stop getting up to such tricks. I’m a saintess with a fragile heart. You won’t be able to bear the consequences if I get frightened!”
Still not appeased, Yan Jinyi posted another caption.
‘”BanditLeader: I’m not going to discipline your fans for you. I’m good at nothing but fighting! @ZhuangHeng”
Yan Jinyi’s Weibo made it to the hot search in less than half an hour’s time.
Zhuang Heng’s fans were infuriated.
“It’s just an obsessive fan. Please don’t join our fan club. You can’t withstand the battles that we go through.”
“He or she might have gone overboard, but would this have happened if you didn’t take on this film? I bet you’re just in cahoots with Tao Wei to make use of Zhuang Heng.”
“Wow, this is too much. The pretty babe must have been scared soulless. I’ll lend you my shoulder to lean on!”
Zhuang Heng’s fans were indeed all brainless. Why would they treat a frivolous fool like a god?
Zhuang Heng had just finished taking a flower petal bath and was getting ready to go for a massage when he saw the Weibo posts that Yan Jinyi posted.
Without hesitation, he scurried to her room next door in his bathrobe and exclaimed, “Little pepper, did you get frightened? I’m here to accompany you, hurry and open the door!”
‘Damn it!’
‘Screw you!’
Yan Jinyi turned pale and opened the door to punch Zhuang Heng’s face.
This time, Zhuang Heng seemed to have been prepared and quickly dodged to the side.
However, Yan Jinyi was clearly angered. Seeing that he had dodged, she raised her leg to kick him.
Turning pale immediately, Zhuang Heng exclaimed, “Hey! Little pepper, why are you hitting me?”
With fury in her eyes, Yan Jinyi barked, “Get lost!”
