Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 1063 - The Only Thing He Could Do Was Stay by Lin Nuan’s Side

Cen Mo only informed Liang Mulan on the third day after Song Yao had given birth. After Liang Mulan found out about it, she visited Song Yao and Lun Lun almost every day. She would bring good food for her from the Lin residence. Cen Mo could tell that Liang Mulan really treated them like family. Lacking motherly love when growing up, Cen Mo started to develop admiration and affection toward Liang Mulan in his heart…

Therefore, no matter what Liang Mulan wanted to do, he would abide by her wishes.

Lin Nuan, who was due for delivery in October, wanted to take these last few days to eat the things that she wouldn’t be able to eat during her confinement. The food was served to the table, and she was about to dig in when she felt that something wasn’t right. She felt a warm flow and was afraid that her water broke, so she went to the bathroom to check it out. She saw traces of blood.

There was still some time before she’d go into labor upon seeing blood. Lin Nuan wasn’t anxious and informed Fu Huai’an. She also told Liang Mulan about it, getting Liang Mulan to help take care of Tuan Tuan.

Liang Mulan had given birth before and was more experienced. She knew that there was no need to feel anxious when seeing blood. Liang Mulan had long prepared the things required for Lin Nuan’s hospital bag. She called the servants at home to get them to send it to the hospital.

Fu Huai’an’s initial plan was for Lin Nuan to wait to go into delivery in Jincheng since the most reputable obstetrician, Su Nian, was there.

However, Lin Nuan felt that Su Nian was busy enough and wasn’t planning on giving her more trouble. Therefore, she decided that it was the same to wait to go into delivery in Haicheng.

Fu Huai’an arranged the best private hospital in Haicheng for Lin Nuan, and she was very much at ease.

With Lin Nuan due for delivery soon, Fu Huai’an was very anxious.

You Nainai had experience in giving birth, but her experience hadn’t been that great!

She had initially gone ahead with natural birth, but midway through, it was unsuccessful, and the doctor had to deliver her baby through c-section…

You Nainai saw Lin Nuan holding onto a big apple with one hand and a tablet with the other, checking on the correct method to exert force during natural birth. You Nainai couldn’t help but remind her, “If… and I’m saying this just in case, the doctor says there’ll be difficulty doing a natural birth and asks if you still want to give it a try, don’t try it. Just go for the c-section. Don’t put yourself through the pain twice!”

Lin Nuan nodded, smiling at You Nainai. “En, I know. Don’t worry!”

Lin Nuan stayed in the hospital for the entire day, but nothing happened.

Uncle Blessing and Aunt Blessing were also feeling very anxious. They kept on calling to ask if Lin Nuan had given birth.

Uncle Blessing and Aunt Blessing had wanted to travel to Haicheng, but Fu Huai’an didn’t let them. He said that he’d get Little Lu to fetch them after the child was born.

The next day, Lin Nuan said to Fu Huai’an, “They say that boys will come earlier and girls will come later. Will our Yuan Yuan’s gender be seen wrongly like Lun Lun’s case?”

Fu Huai’an accompanied Lin Nuan to take a stroll under the shade of the trees in the garden at the back of the hospital. He grabbed Lin Nuan’s hand and clutched it gently. “No matter if it’s a boy or a girl, they’ll be our precious darling!”

“That’s true. The name Yuan Yuan can be used for both a boy and a girl!” Lin Nuan gently stroked her stomach. “Ahh!”

“What’s the matter?” Fu Huai’an frowned and held onto Lin Nuan.

The baby in Lin Nuan’s stomach seemed to be kicking up a fuss, making big movements.

“Yuan Yuan seems to be moving a lot…” Lin Nuan was feeling some pain from Yuan Yuan’s movements. She held onto her stomach, her brows furrowing.

Fu Huai’an helped Lin Nuan take a seat in the shade. Seeing that Lin Nuan was still in pain, he frowned. “I’ll carry you back to look for the doctor!”

Lin Nuan was in the later phase of her pregnancy and didn’t dare let down her guards. She nodded and got Fu Huai’an to lift her up, moving toward the hospital building in great strides.

After performing a fetal heart rate monitoring, checking on the umbilical cord blood flow, and doing an ultrasound, it was ascertained that the child was fine. It was probably just that the baby had moved a little too much. Hearing that, Lin Nuan and Fu Huai’an both felt at ease.

In the afternoon, Liang Mulan came to visit Lin Nuan, only leaving at 7:30 pm. After she left, Lin Nuan started to experience labor pains.

Fu Huai’an wore a grim expression, staying by her side and feeding her some high-calorie food while she wasn’t in that much pain yet.

By the time Cen Mo came to the hospital after settling down his son and Song Yao, Lin Nuan’s contractions had started…

Fu Huai’an was only wearing a shirt, with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He kept on using a towel to wipe Lin Nuan’s face.

Cen Mo saw Lin Nuan gritting her teeth and not saying anything. Her hands were clutching down hard on the bed’s handrails, and she wore a painful expression. Cen Mo didn’t feel good about this.

After a round of contractions ended, Fu Huai’an helped Lin Nuan up and gave her some honey water. He let Lin Nuan lean in his arms, and when another round of contractions came, Fu Huai’an gritted his teeth and massaged the back of her waist to ease her pain.

Cen Mo could see that Fu Huai’an was restraining his anxiety and helping Lin Nuan ease her pain. Recalling how he had been at a loss when Song Yao was going into labor one month ago, he felt a little uneasy.

Cen Mo admitted that Fu Huai’an had done better than him in this area.

Cen Mo gave Song Yao a call and said that Lin Nuan was going into labor soon. He was going to stay at the hospital to watch over her. Song Yao instructed Cen Mo to give her a call with any updates!

Song Yao thought of how she had called Lin Nuan for guidance on her breathing when she couldn’t hold it in anymore in the hospital. She took a look at her son, who was deep asleep, and held onto her phone as she sat up in bed, waiting for Lin Nuan to call her. She only hoped that both Lin Nuan and her child would be safe!

At 1:30 am, Lin Nuan’s cervix opened up to two fingers. After a fetal heart rate monitoring was performed, the doctor came over to administer an epidural. However, before the doctor could do that, he realized that Lin Nuan’s cervix had opened up to five fingers. Based on this speed, it’d be fully opened up very soon!

The doctor felt that there wasn’t a need to administer an epidural, and after telling Fu Huai’an his opinion, he checked and realized that Lin Nuan’s cervix had opened up to seven fingers!

The doctor quickly got the nurse to send Lin Nuan from the VIP ward to the delivery room. The nurse moved very quickly and kept saying, “Mrs. Fu, don’t start to exert force yet. Otherwise, you’ll end up giving birth in the corridors! Hold it in!”

After getting onto the obstetric bed, Lin Nuan heard from the doctor that Fu Huai’an was changing his clothes and wanted to come in. Lin Nuan shook her head. “Don’t let him come in!”

However, Fu Huai’an had already entered. He stood by Lin Nuan’s side, holding onto her hand as he said to her softly, “Xiao Nuan, don’t be afraid. I’ll be with you!”

Fu Huai’an gently stroked Lin Nuan’s long hair that was drenched in sweat and planted a kiss on her forehead.

Lin Nuan was in so much pain that her face had twisted up. Fu Huai’an’s lips also trembled a lot. Even his big hand that was holding onto Lin Nuan’s was covered in sweat.

This was probably the first time that Lin Nuan noticed Fu Huai’an’s anxiety.

Fu Huai’an’s heart ached badly upon seeing Lin Nuan going through so much pain. Every time the contractions came, her face would turn ashen. Fu Huai’an felt like he was in more pain than Lin Nuan.

He knew that Lin Nuan didn’t wish for him to see the sight of her giving birth, afraid that she’d look ugly. However, Fu Huai’an wanted to enter to stay by her side. Lin Nuan was there, fighting with her life to give birth to their child. At this moment, the only thing he could do was stay by Lin Nuan’s side.

It was probably because Fu Huai’an was by her side to give her support that Yuan Yuan was born at 2:16 am. It was a baby girl, and Lin Nuan couldn’t escape having an incision.

Fu Huai’an looked at the soft baby on Lin Nuan’s chest, tears welling up in his eyes. He lowered his head and kissed Lin Nuan’s hand, breaking into a smile. “Darling, it’s been tough on you!”
