Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 662 - : Let’s Talk About Love (21)

The cordyceps!

Li Si and An Xi both gawked at An’an as she held the cordyceps in her hand. “Where did you get it from?”

An’an smiled at them. “That’s none of your business.”

Li Si and An Xi looked at each other and walked out together. “Miss An’an, we’ll have to trouble you with Yan Zi then.”

An’an entered the room and closed the room door.

She walked in front and arrived beside Lu Yan. His head was lowered and his fringe was dripping wet, covering his bloodshot eyes. Huge droplets of sweat were dripping down his jaw and it wet his shirt and trousers.

Lower your head…

Lu Yan gradually bent down.

An’an’s hands started shifting upwards and she held his head, bringing it onto her chest. “Ah Yan, does it hurt?”

Ah Yan…

Does it hurt…

The room was totally silent, they were surrounded by the warm lights.

Lu Yan’s head was on her chest, that sentence repeated in his ears over and over again. Ah Yan, does it hurt?

Many years back, when he was nine years old. His father had passed away in jail and he didn’t get to meet him for the last time. By the time he had rushed to the jail, his father’s body had already been cremated and he could only return home with the remaining ashes.

At night, his mother hugged him in that exact same way. He had his head on his mother’s chest and his mother had asked him, Ah Yan, does it hurt?

Lu Yan’s muscles started tensing up, he gathered his strength, almost like he was going to do something. But very quickly, his muscles were relaxed and he stretched out both arms, hugging onto her slim waist as if it was all he had left, before burrowing his face into her chest.

Just like many years ago, when he burrowed his face into his mother’s chest.

An’an ran her fingers through his hair and rubbed his head softly. “It’s all going to be fine, it will not hurt soon, everything is over.”

That’s right, it wouldn’t hurt soon…

He didn’t know the feeling of pain ever since he was nine years old.

After taking the cordyceps, the pain really did seem to be fading away.

Lu Yan lifted his head, inching forward until he found her lips and kissed them.

An’an hugged him, reciprocating the kiss passionately.

They didn’t talk and just kissed. Their tongues were entangled and they could feel each other’s breathing getting messier.

Lu Yan finally let go of An’an when his drug addiction was finally over. The maid had sent dinner over and Lu Yan began eating. It was the same menu, plain porridge with steamed buns.

Lu Yan took two bites of the steamed bun and An’an looked at him eagerly. “I’m hungry too, I want some.”

She moved over to take a bite of the steamed bun.

But Lu Yan lifted his hand high and stopped her from having it. As he looked at her with bloodshot eyes, he ordered her, “Go back for dinner.”

The same thing happened, she wanted to have the steamed bun and he didn’t want to give it to her.

“Lu Yan, is this how you’re supposed to treat your savior? There are two steamed buns here, are you going to be starving if I have just a bit of it?” An’an puffed her cheeks up and glared at him angrily.

Lu Yan didn’t back down, he insisted, “An’an, go back.”

An’an’s eyes crinkled into a smile. “Lu Yan, I’m not coming back if I leave this time. I’ll never come back for you again in the future.”

Lu Yan’s face twitched, he looked at her. Her eyes were especially lustrous that night, she was seductive and charming but for some reason, he felt something about her that was off. She seemed to be a little sad.

An’an suddenly leaned over, her lips in front of his and her tongue extended into his mouth. She snatched the steamed bun that was inside his mouth.

She chewed on it before swallowing. “Lu Yan, I’ve been raised by you for the past 13 years and you’ve given me the best living conditions I could ever ask for. That includes this steamed bun.”

Lu Yan averted his eyes and handed the steamed bun that was originally in his hand over to her. “This is for you.”

An’an received it and split it into two. He’d have one and a half steamed buns, she only needed half of it.

“Are you going to be full just eating that much?” Lu Yan asked.

An’an raised her brows playfully. “Yes, what’s important is that you’re full. You’ll only have the energy to work hard tonight when you’re full!”
