Chapter 675 - The Showdown of Lu and Lin (9)
The High Priest of Miaojiang gasped, he would have never imagined that the altar would ever collapse. This was the most serious disaster the entire Miaojiang could ever face.
“Hurry up and head back!” Meng Lu brought his men with him as they hurried back towards the altar.
Tang Mo’er then ran over. “Let’s head back too, we must never allow Lu Jinwen to bring my mother away. He’ll dig my mother’s heart out in order to transplant it into Lin Xuanyin.”
“Mo’er,” Gu Mohan walked over, stretching on arm out to grasp her slim waist, “Rest assured, we have our plans.”
What did he mean?
Tang Mo’er was stunned, and she looked in Jun Mosheng’s direction.
Jun Mosheng nodded his head and reassured her. “Mo’er, don’t be too worried. It’s always unpredictable and we can’t safely say that Lu Jinwen’s plans are going to succeed. Just wait and see.”
Tang Chenyi held onto the sword and remained straight-faced. He walked over to the crystal coffin and held onto the sword handle with both hands, inserting the knife into the mechanism.
The altar suddenly stopped shaking.
Puff.
Tang Chenyi spat a mouthful of blood.
“Chenyi, are you alright?” Su Yan rushed forward, looking extremely worried.
Tang Chenyi felt some pain in his throat but he didn’t display any expression on his face. He just wiped away the blood on the corners of his mouth with the back of his hand and shook his head.
Su Yan helped Tang Chenyi up.
Glancing at Tang Chenyi, Lu Jinwen only simply said, “Let’s go.”
…
Outside of the altar.
Meng Lu had rushed over with his men but before they could even make it inside, there was a loud bang and the altar suddenly stopped shaking and stabilized.
His underlings instantly cheered. “That’s great! The altar is no longer shaking, there’s no longer any danger!”
Meng Lu’s face darkened. Someone had touched the King’s Sword!
No one was able to pull the King’s Sword out of the stone wall after a few centuries, it was said that only someone destined would be able to pull it out.
That person had finally appeared!
However, the King’s Sword was cursed by the ancestors of Miaojiang several centuries ago.
The person who pulls the King’s Sword would never have any love or feelings and would have to spend the rest of his or her life alone with no company.
It was a tragic destiny for such a person.
…
Lu Jinwen carried Lin Xuanji and went down the mountain, arriving beside the Passion River.
There were a few luxury cars parked there, they were all ready to bring Lin Xuanji back to the Capital.
But Lu Jinwen suddenly stopped walking, he had spotted a group of familiar figures. Jun Mosheng, Gu Mohan and Tang Mo’er had arrived.
Lu Jinwen’s gaze turned cold. No one should ever know about this route, how did Jun Mosheng and Gu Mohan even know to wait for him here?
“Uncle Jin, there’s no need to think too hard. I placed a location tracking device with Tang Chenyi.” Gu Mohan smirked.
“Gu Mohan, it seems like you’ve already correctly guessed Tang Chenyi’s identity.”
Gu Mohan raised his brows, his deep and narrow eyes riveted onto Tang Chenyi. “Uncle Jin, how would you ever lose the son that Lin Xuanji gave birth to? How would you ever allow him to die? Uncle Jin, you’d never dare to do such a thing.”
You’d never dare to.
Lu Jinwen’s aura turned menacing once he heard Gu Mohan’s provocative words, especially when he said ‘never dare to’. His lips were raised into a cynical smile. “Oh? I don’t dare to? What makes you think that?”
“That’s because you’re aware that if her son dies, you’ll never have a chance with Lin Xuanji ever again. Uncle Jin, just admit it, you’re head over heels for Lin Xuanji and there’s no way out of it.”
Lu Jinwen glanced at the woman in his arms, and he didn’t say a word.
“Lu Jinwen, the Passion River is just right beside you. Do you dare to step inside? Go ahead and try to see if you can survive it,” Jun Mosheng said.
Throwing a glance at the Passion River, Lu Jinwen narrowed his eyes. “I don’t have any time to waste, move. If not…”
Butler Ye had placed a gun against Tang Chenyi’s back.
“Lu Jinwen, don’t harm this child!” Jun Mosheng shouted. “Haven’t you done enough, don’t harm this innocent child anymore!”
